What is the difference between casing and baseboards? I be told to buy baseboards, I get casing, trouble?
Answers: Casings are thinner, only about 2 1/2 contained by. Base boards are 3 or more inches high. Can't you take them stern or exchange them?
Casing is just what it says.it go around cases...boxes.What that means is that it goes around door and skylight openings and is finished on the edges.but not the back.underneath board a lot of time is not finished on the floor side because no one see's it.but that's not a honest idea sometimes if you get your floors drizzling..it will start to destroy your finish. You can get different sizes of respectively...just depends on your plans...If you got underneath instead of casing...just be sure its painted or finished on that one border...if not exchange it...sometimes baseboard also has for a while angle cut on the down side and that will make you casing around doors and window look a little strange if you have a biddable eye for detail.hope this helps.really is quite simple.freshly look at each...take a simple of one near you.have fun...bye (Look at end profile)
