What is the best flooring to enjoy beside a dog? we have a dog who have peed all over our hearth...
we have a dog who have peed all over our hearth rug. it is completely reuined and soon will be ripped up. we are not sure what to replace it with, because runner is absolutly not gonna work. and we dont want vinyl flooring. please help..
Answers: You own some choices: laminate, tile, sealed unyielding wood, bamboo, etc. All are more expensive after carpets. We lately put laminate that looks like wood within the whole house except for the bedrooms. We put a berber mat in in attendance. Berber is VERY tight weave and you can wipe up most accidents in need it penetrating. A spot bot works great for little accident. Our dogs are getting old and incontinent...they be all completely house broken when they be younger (we have 4 dogs).
PS-if the tile is hermetic VERY VERY well, you will probably be ok. With our laminate, we be told to be very wary about standing marine and not using anything really wet to verbs the floor. I found that you don't have to be THAT reliable, but pee all daytime...I don't know. With sealed complicated wood floors, you would probably be ok.. You really need to discuss the problem beside an installer to be sure.
I don't understand the answer almost laminate not being a floor upgrade. It is sure a buying point here. Installation is not that frozen, but we had an installer do it because of hubby's fruitless back. It cost more per square foot to install then the stuff cost. The material itself be about $2 a square foot and $2.50 to install. However, if you are handy, you really can do it yourself.
Another likelihood is creating an area where on earth you confine the doggy during the day ie: landry room and put linoleum basically in that nouns. Why is he peeing all over? Is he neuter? Neutered dogs do this less. Does he own an incontenence problem? Two of our geri dogs are on medication that works pretty well. Is in that a really is not house broken?
GOOD LUCK!
Well I have other had hardwood floors next to my dog and cats and it worked very resourcefully. Except at one time I did have a rug within my BR. I prefer the floors. They were uncomplicated to clean (a vacuum be my best buddy--lol). I didn't have any problem at ANY time next to pet odors on the floor.
I find tiles and linoleum to be very right also.
