Damask Patterns, Acanthus Leaves, Iron Scrollwork, Trailing Vines, Staying within indeterminate color pallete of earth tones(sage,muted stone/tan color, liight warm gold ingots, Creamy/Antique White for Moldings and Trim, Accent Colors consisting of Burgundies and Olive Moss Greens but Oil Rubbed Bronze for Metal Accents and Hardware. Any other ideas what would blend next to this kind of decor. I don't know if its "baroque" matter or what, Any ideas? Its not victorian nor country what do you judge?
Answers: Sounds like french country loving of-check out Ballard Designs-they are online and have a catalog-you'd probably love their stuff. I'm in the middle between that and pottery barn/crate and barrel-so I bet youre like me. You close to textures, eccectic, euro and unconscious calm. I don't know if its a "style".
By the by-there are alot of us out there-it should be. Go on HGTV.com-they enjoy tons of photos and referance areas-you might find a name to yours and enjoy fun too-
You know, this "theme" idea they walk for on TV makes perfect TV, but it can go too far. You don't inevitability a theme, you stipulation a comfortable home. (And I'm no decorator, but at this point, if I were you, I'd be keeping an eye out for something you love that -doesn't- jump with the rest -- a contrasting articulation point, perhaps.)
