What is a trendy bedroom color that go economically near black furniture? Have a new home and the master bedroom and bathroom are...

Have a new home and the master bedroom and bathroom are white. It have vaulted ceiling and it's pretty big, but it's too much white. What colors should I paint it? My downstairs is two tone tan color; severely neutral. I own black furniture in the bedroom. I don't want anything too contemporary... I'd prefer a soft, romantic look and am horrible next to decorating. Thanks!
My recommendation to you, would be to paint your walls a color call "Calico" it is a soothing light blue/green from Sherwin William's. Dark teal accent will really make this room stunning. For instance, a dark colored teal throw folded at the bottom of your bed, and teal panel for your window treatments, teal candles, a shelf painted teal. Also, buy a immense piece of metal wall art, paint it teal and hang it above your bed. It will look so pretty. Just bring a piece of teal fabric beside you that you are using in your room (a throw for instance) to the paint store, so they can meeting it exactly to get the right shade of poorly lit teal. I'd recommend a crisp white comforter cover for your bed. I hope your bedroom turns out to be the relaxing restful place you are searching for. Good luck. P.S. if you want to check out the paint color "Calico" for yourself, basically go to the Sherwin William's paint website and click on "Color Visualizer." Calico is within the blue section.

You're using black furniture...

Okay, so unsophisticatedly because you're using black, you'll want to use a light, contrasting color to manufacture the furniture pop and the rooms seem big. Black make things look smaller (because less shadow and whatnot can be seen) and white make them appear larger. Contrasting colors would be white-ish. You can also use a bright color, like cyan or anything, but be careful next to it, don't want to make anyone hijack!

As for the ceilings, doesn`t matter what color you choose, lighten the paint near white to the best of your ability and paint beside that color.
Answers:    play around beside the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the trellis, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I similar to that you can search by color line & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most convincing, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I reflect a green like "majolica green" (# 0013) would look stunning near the black + it's very quiet & soothing.

oh, and I like it when the ceiling is painted something except white - whether it's the same shade as the wall color or something to complement it.
