We recently re-did the second floor bathroom in our house. The sink is placed surrounded by a spot where it sort of blocks the tub. We contemplated a pedestal sink, but we're not sure we want to lose the counter space. What are some other styles of sinks that work surrounded by tighter spaces? The first photo below is a picture of our current sink (it is the only thing gone to do in the bathroom, so it doesn't match the rest of the decor.) The rest of the links are other photos of the bathroom so you can see the style.

Answers: What's on the other side of the sink? I think a pedestal sink would fit the room, but I hear ya on the space issue. Is in attendance room on the other side of the sink for maybe a little antique style cabinet? Then you'd hold the top for "on the sink" items and a little storage underneath that you would lose going with a dais sink.
Good luck!
What did you decide on the dining room curtains?
You really won't be gaining anything by putting surrounded by a pedestal sink, and you will be losing a bunch of storage and countertop space. In a small room, you cannot afford to do that. A pedestal "feels" smaller, but the depth (front to wall) is something like the same as what you have. I would stick to a cabinet such as you enjoy. Your layout is fairly typical, actually. It's not just what the doctor ordered, but isn't uncommon. I may have looked at moving the toilet and sink to differen locations, but it's too unpaid now, and costs a lot more money anyway. If you similar to the look of a pedestal, check out a larger pedestal - approaching those from Kohler. Some offer a little "counter" space on the top, since they are wider than others. I know this probably doesn't assist very much!
