I have a rectangular bathroom 35' X 60". I've considered have custom made sliding doors, aluminum framed frosted plastic kind that is to say screwed into the wall, but the contractor says the breadth of my bathroom is too narrow to accommodate a sliding door. Any accepted wisdom? Thanks guys.

Since you already state that you have a small space to work beside in the bathroom... I really cogitate that decorative shower curtains are the means of access to go.
Perhaps you can shop around and find really luxurious and soaring end shower curtains to dress up the hip bath area, you can also capture very some trimmings to play it up.
