actually it'll be more of a mix of vintage/victorian/old fashioned. weird i know but what could i put contained by it. like a want a little bird coop (any ideas where i can find a small attractive birdcage?vintage looking one) and how can i decorate it? one of my walls is green and yellow (thick stripes) it's a deeply pale yellow and not really green. it's really nice. and the other walls are te faded yellow color.what could i decorate my room near?
Answers: The walls are a great start, I'd be going for big flowy curtains with very gummy tie backs that suit the wall colour, a few small rugs on the floor (if they are wooden floor boards?) a wrought iron bed will suit really well, and excluding ebay there is this site http://www.birdcages.com/ which has lots many styles of cages. Grab some small side table (not matching) from flea markets and paint them pale colours, and as expected candlestick holders in white, glass, crystal or silver look fab. And even near the stripped walls use some floral material, either as bedding, cushions or perchance on a lovely chair? Crystal knobs look fab too on dressers or wardrobe and a chandelier too. Old flea market pitchers, jugs etc are great for vase, and you should be able to find some really pretty dressing table accessories within too. Lastly don't forget some nice framed prints on the walls, scenery, flowers, naturalist sketches or even old (really old) black and white time portraits would look nice. Have fun it sounds like it will be lovely
Vintage is glorious, and there are so oodles places where you can find things like that. If you're look for a birdcage boutiques or antique shops are great for finding likelihood and ends like that. If it's not the color you like, paint it! Always trade name sure that you prime and then paint. You never know whether or not you're getting something with organize paint so always prime just as a precaution. White would be a pious color to go with the green and wan, and as a plus...white makes everything look bigger and brighter/happier. Victorians were adjectives about yellows, greens, purples, and blues. Porcelein is a good choice if you're looking for vintage. You can find tea cups and tea pots. Did you know that you can net your own wax and pour it in the cup to make a tea-scented candle? Tea pots also gross great planters, they provide air and a good container for small plants resembling pansies or peonys. Anyway, good luck!
