I have a bathroom that's surrounded by very close proximity to the kitchen and dining room. Currently it have a flat, hollow door. I want to purchase a more solid door so the sounds from inside are more muffled. Is hard wood the instrument to go or is at hand something that absorbs nouns better? If wood is the way to be in motion, is oak a good choice?

Answers:    Yes solid wood is righteous. It can be any wood, but if its solid oak it would be very expensive. Also, save in mind that it will be extraordinarily heavy and the hinge and support that you now own will not be sufficient to hold any solid door. You will involve a carpenter to strengthen the frame etc. A cheaper option would be to drill a few small holes at diverse spots in the door sides and inject low expansion insulating foam that come contained by cans. You will stipulation 4 or 5 cans. Also make the addition of a strip of sticky foam at the bottom edge of your door if it is far from the floor.
