the units are ivory and the counter is very gloomy wood,my floor is light wood and im not sure what colour would go
U should try a pastel pallid. Pastel yellow and ivory with murky brown and light brown do go beside eachother. Or just light wan will do as well. You need some contrast within there, try a pale green or blue for a pop of color.
Look at the woods and see if there is a color that is complementary that you can verbs out and put on your walls. You could very well pick any color to turn with the kitchen but by pulling a color actually from what you hold you will see it can blend everything together better. i think a a lighter color would be could like a buff or even a yellow maybe a grey brown but i would pick beige. if you are still not sure watch some hgtv.
Answers: play around next to the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I close to how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color relations & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color scheme. You can literally spend hours:

I think "burgundy" (# 6300) would look terrific.
You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can capture color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look similar to.
