I am not terribly fond of the color (I wish I would enjoy chosen more of a creamy color) but it will have to do for presently. I tend to like the color scheme that Pottery Barn uses in the rooms shown within their catalog. Any ideas for nice throw pillows or anything that will balance the blah tone of the dark brown and wan?

2] next add some brights - try:

bright red
red, peach
banana, lemon
lime, leaf green
aqua, teal
sky blue, smoke blue
lavender or purple

3] add a living plant, artwork that repeats your colors, and it's looking nice already!

Answers:    accents could be surrounded by aqua or pale sickly, or pale pink peachy colors, beside a nice teal green. Or even burgundy, gold, green combination. You might try to find one elocution piece that you like, a sculpture, throw, vase, something similar to that that has coordinating colors and consequently decorate around that color job.
