I think any bold color would go. Red, blue, purple, green, etc Anything match black & white.
I would suggest red though =]
YIKES! That pattern really plays with a individuals eyes after awhile! You'd be perfectly safe going near most colors with that so it depends on a few things. What your personality is resembling, what color your flooring it, how much light do you have surrounded by the room? You really don't want a deep color on your walls if you only hold one small window in your room is what I'm getting at.

I'm partial to bright pink and green apple (not necessarily together), but that's of late me. I do like red, but it seems resembling a fall/winter color to me and not that cheery. I try to find a color that will be visually appealing year round since I will be likely to change the color beside the seasons if it doesn't feel right. That's basically me though!

Good luck!
Answers:    play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the network, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can rummage through by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most believable, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think "red bay" (# 6321) would look fab beside that bedspread.

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can catch color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look resembling.
I think red would look good.
