I have a sectional sofa surrounded by my living room. The bottom of the sofa is dark brown leather and the top portion (cushions) is flimsy beige/cream color. I don't want to paint my house in the nonpartisan colors because of my sofas. I have strong wood floor too - light oak color. I be thinking about going w/ a night light blue to bring out my sofas. I am still not sure, however.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Answers:    Blue would look severely fresh with the neutrals you hold going already.

A nice soft medium efficacy blue would be a nice balance. If you walk too light it will come across pastelly and you don't want "baby boy blue" (nursery blue). Stick to milieu value and lean toward a green er blue than a more purple blue.
