Good luck!
Well, if you're set on tile, I'd voice something in a dark-ish brown color, possible sponge-painted to take home it look not as much like a solid color. Perhaps a dusk brown with a bit of black sponged on it.
If you're likely to go beside wood though, a dark wood would be great (or even tile that have that look.)
Also, a forest-y setting may be achieved by using a misty green tile, something that looks like moss or grass.
Good luck!
So heaps choices.
My home has a rustic flair and I'd jump with a stone next to a mat finish.
Are you leaving the walls or going to paint them? A "wash" of color can create an awesome effect keeping the rustic discern.

i'd go near terracota if it's available where you are. it's go by different names. so check out the rustic one here:

Answers:    I enjoy tiled heaps floors, and the rustic wood presence is most desirable, and the easiest to compliment. You naturally hold the shade of the wall to begin next to, however, contrast here will be the key.. Pick a much lighter color than your walls..Say a light brown with accent.. or a coffee color with break up accent within the model..Speckled tiles are always honourable also.. I have done two basements surrounded by one piece congoleum also with excellent results.. Your diction pieces in the room also should play a bit in your finding.. With the rustic wood walls, you want to go near a lighter floor for two reasons..One, it stays cleaner looking longer, and cleans up better over the course of years.. Darker tend to show more dirt, and the eye is drawn to imperfections to or on the floor as you use it.. I prefer a one piece myself, because although here is more precision cutting when applying a one piece,, you never enjoy to worry just about tiles shifting,or lifting up,after aging.. If you put piece tile down, make sure the arrows on the underside ALL GO THE SAME WAY.. Very central!! Don't put a solid color down.. Everyone I've ever done ,the people after a while wish they had used a multi color tile.. Hope this give you what you need to know.. Happy Tiling!! SOLOMON
