Okayy sooo my living/family room has a red coach near two brown recliners and a brown coffee table and side table that on the tob of it are a rock tile type look. I don't know which color to do this room because I have a hurricane lantern yellow kitchen and my family/living room and the kitchen are the type where on earth theres no closure it leads right into the kitchen and within the family room it can't be a desk light color like the pallid but it cant be a red or burgande because the coaches are that color. Maybe a tan but which sensitive??
Answers:    I'd go a open eggshell or light buff; a warm indeterminate. The colors of all the rest of the walls and furniture are heat colors, so you don't want a cool color. Creams, eggshells, and beiges are neutrals and they're light satisfactory to open up the room.
Take a paint chip of the sickly kitchen paint in when you pick out the paint so the indistinct you select will blend. There's so many variation!
You could stay in the yellows but dance for a softer butter color. Or you could look at the bronze colors if you like something more bold. I enjoy a cafe latte kind of color within a room with red and brown furniture. If you turn with a sunburn look for something on a sample card that also have red and brown so you can see how it goes together. Best of luck decorate in 2008!
