My husband just have worker installed dark rose wood on the floor- Chocholate color, it engender the house so much darker, I hold white wall right now, and it doesn't seem to be like it's helping. What other wall color will progress well near this type of floor color?

If you want to make your room touch lighter stick to pale colors and especially cool colors, which are blues and greens.

Personally, I would be in motion with a particularly pale blue - I own a pale blue painted kitchen, near 2 walls of chocolate oak cabinets. Pale blue looks surely stunning against all woods, especially threatening wood. The pale blue I used is from Dulux, call 'First Dawn'. If it feels a bit cold or sterile (it shouldn't against the wood, though) incorporate some accents of a weighty vibrant turquoise, or bright red, or a similar tone of dusky/rose pink.

Leave the ceiling white, to help your room have a feeling lighter, and go for uplighters (which night light the ceiling) and a big mirror to reflect the reading light.

Persnally I'd run with a fluffy, warm peach. Obviously the white is too stark for the browns.
