As you enter my first house that needs core renovations,you will enter a small porch area,that have 8 windows. I painted the walls a joyus yellow(soft yellow).The wood work is white. I enjoy an antuqie looking glass top kitchen table surrounded by this room along with the similar bakers rack in which I own plants on(it does not fit in the kitchen).
Answers: Gingham would be nice because it sounds close to an older home and that sort of effect on a porch would be cute. You could progress with sickly gingham or change it up and try blue
I would put up rainbow curtains...red on one, red on the next, etc. The rainbow colors might echo off of your cup table. But that's just me. I love color.
