i purchased a range hood specifically ducted, now i found out it should be a recirculating vent hood, and i really similar to this one that is a chimney type hood. is in that any way to still use this possibly w/ a charcoal filter or any other method used to save it.

Answers:    for best results, range hoods should be vent to the outside. There are many that are made that are not vent. You will have to hold on to the screen/filter clean for it to work, although it will not be as powerful as a vented one (outside)

depending on the arrangement of your kitchen, you may be capable of duct the vent out the nearest exterior wall.
