Answers: It can be painted - but you must do it right or you will make a mess. Prep requires street light sanding, a greatly thorough cleaning with a degreasing agent, fine art with a primer and afterwards last beside a gloss paint, at smallest two coats. You might want to consider taking a free tile installation class at a home improvement store. If you install the tile yourself, and shop for tile bargain this much nicer option can be have relatively inexpensively. Good luck!
