I have red curtians that hold to stay. But I want my bedroom to have bright colors everywhere. What bright colors will travel well next to red?
Answers: you could do warm colors...similar to orange and sickly with the red
I enjoy some red curtains in a room which have dark blue hearth rug, sort of a soft navy, and the walls are wishy-washy warm washed out. I put the curtains up when I wasn't quite finished decorate the room, guests were coming, and I only just happened to hold red curtains that fit the window. I designed to replace them but haven't because that colour combination is cheerful and warm. Stay away from bright blue-greens next to red, that combination is pretty violent.
