We are planning to build a midwestern home and calculation a built contained by corner fireplace. Good hypothesis or doomed to failure? ...
Answers: If the room is large, you could do a corner fireplace and it would be cozy, but it does devour up lots of space. Also, you have to consider the traffic shape in the room, so you dont' hold people tripping over the fireplace.
I find corner fireplaces can sometimes limit your furniture arrangement possibilities, especially if the room is more authoritarian (rectangle) than square. This nice thing is that you are building from scrape, so you can decide. I reflect on that it is very big to design a new home beside all of you furniture placement contained by mind. So this room may be a family room, you give attention to...is there going to be a T.V and how does that fit contained by with the fireplace belief. other than that I give attention to that esthetically, yes corner fireplaces can look nice, if you are asking specifically if it goes near the Midwestern style, I have see it done.
