We have a tree at our house whose leaves turn a attractive shade of red in the topple, and I want to use them as place cards for Thanksgiving dinner. I've heard you can spray them near something, or otherwise preserve them so that they aren't so delicate... any suggestions on how to step about this? I don't want dried up leaves broken adjectives over my table! Thanks in finance for your help!
Answers:    You can spray them next to varnish or shellac. There are also silica gel beads. You can seize them at the craft store. You put them in a tray or cake tub, put the leaves in, consequently cover them with more bead. The silica beads draw the moisture out and vacate you with dried foliage. Works for flowers too.
I hold seen leaves sprayed beside schlac to keep them firm. Many years ago they used to press(with an iron) them between wax paper to preserve them.
