I'm moving into an apartment that is just horrible. It's right by the sand so I really shouldn't complain.

The kitchen is mostly light green and the bathroom is mostly pink.

Does anyone have any conception how to use other colors to mute the existing ones (through accents, and wall art.)

I don't have a great deal of money but it would be nice to either accept the colors and flood them out. Or somehow deny the impact of the colors.

I close to to use lots of black frames and black accents with my colors. Black kitchen linens and black bathroom linens will subdue the green and pink. I love black furniture. Find some cheap pieces you can spray paint black.

If you want to paint, try using a primer first, because usually the bathroom and kitchen enjoy oil based paints. That agency, by using a primer first, the paint of choice will go on a lot better. You could simply go with a egg shell white on most of the walls and next leave one wall with that pink or bedside light green color.
