My dilema I live in the northeast within a rowhome. My basement plane is 5'8" after being framed it'll be give or take a few 2"-3" shorter. I was wondering would it be to big a act to dig 1' -1'.5 out? Staying away from the walls possibly a foot not to disturb them? The area is 38' by 17' any accepted wisdom how much? Just for the digging?
