Tiling Bathroom countertop? I have built a sink cabinet and immediately I want to tile...

I have built a sink cabinet and immediately I want to tile the top of it, but i don't know how? Should I use mortar or adhesive to put tile lying on wood because the tile I will be putting down will be on wood. What do I need to do?

Answers:    It will depend on what thoughtful of tile you will be using for this project. Wherever you buy your tile ask them what adhesive to use for that hard to please tile and they will know which to use. Hard to say for sure in need knowing your exact tile your using. Most tileing jobs use a tiling compund though.

Most modern installations (and DIY) are thinset sticky stuff.
Mortar is seldom used.
