i was thinking of soaking some sheets contained by different colored dyes, then doing the tie dye technique using bleach. so that the prints would be within color instead of white, i want most of the sheet to be white... do you get it?
would the bleach wreck the textile? help!
Answers: Bleach will undercut a fabric yes... wreck it..... i dunno. Depends on how long you soak it and how much bleach you use. It doesn't rob much.
So, you sort of want to achieve a reverse imitation of the tie dye we are used to seeing.... really interesting. Great creativity!
I bet you could sell a million of them if you put your mind to it.
It will look resembling little sunbursts of color on a white background....instead of person overwhelmed with color.... it will be a small treat amongst adjectives the white.
Doing the colors of the sunset would be beautiful on a sky blue piece of stuff too.
Or........ to use your technique... but... instead of using colored dyes... just use black dye. The tyed places will be depressing black fading into gray consequently into the starch bleach white. I bet it would be very interesting to look at... much similar to a black and white photograph.
idk but sounds cool!!!!
