The couple plumbers I call for help out redo our tub will one and only install moen and delta. Why? They are motto e The plumbers I call will merely install moen or delta faucets....
The plumbers I call will merely install moen or delta faucets. Why? The only style I approaching is the exhibit by pegasus and they call it second-hand goods. I can't find anything similar in moen or delta. Any info on Pegasus tub faucets or reputation?
Choose what you want and own them install it. They probably can only receive a discount for moen or delta and will charge you the retail price. You are the customer and if they won't install what you want then find a topical plumber.
Do a search on Pegasus faucets and find out what the warranty is. Don't consent to all the contractors philosophy get you confused. Sometimes they don't consistency that higher priced products are worth the money. Remember, you are the boss.
Because Moen and Delta are reliable and parts are assured to find. Valves are easy to service.
I go to the pegasusinfo website and they were not severely clear on several important issues.
Pegasus seem to be a (chinese) copy of common plumbing fixtures private labeled to Home Depot.
Plumbing supply houses that plumbers buy from will not convey valves or parts for service of these valve.
I would never install Pegasus products as they appear to be "junk". Plastic materials where others use brass, gaunt chrome plating, etc...
If you gave me a piece number I could find a better alternative.
Remember you are also paying for the plumbers knowledge and professional assessment. He can save you time and loads of money.
Answers: Your the one hiring them.. Yo0u buy and use what you want too...get another plumber..if they enjoy already dtarted the rennovation and this isn't on any conttraxct..You can legally recompense another plumber to do the work, and deduct his fees from what the other plumbers have coming. I Have never heard of a plumber refuse to to do the work unless they put in what they want to...
It is not un-common for the owner to provide the fixtures. So, within this case, when you hold the plumber come to provide an estimate, let them know of your intention, and show them the fixture so they can provide an accurate proposal. (no surprises for any party) And, make sure that the designation of the fixure is included in the proposal, and is provided by you, the customer.
