We sanded the floors yesterday after cleaning all the dust we applied the stain I applied it near a paint brush after my husband told me to use a rag "I didnt listen" lol so now its be a hole day and the stain still hasnt dried its still sticky. Im not sure what to do wait it out or try to bring some off ... Im having 30 relatives over here Sat. so im hoping i can reslove this by then. HELP

Answers:    Did you wipe up the excess stain after applying with a brush? If the stain is applied beefy it will remain tacky, put some mineral spirits on a rag and wipe, this should grasp up any excess and speed up the drying time.
Bright paint colours?
Rather you used a rag or brush it shouldn't effect the drying time. Try putting a fan on it. It might own been old stain.
