Soundproofing vault? the basement is not finished and i play my guitar and drums...

the basement is not finished and i play my guitar and drums LOUD and i be wanting a way to nouns proofing it, i have read that egg carton work but it sounds kind of stupid, the crypt is 27 by 17ish but i am thinking of building a wall to separate my musical stuff from the rest of the basement to product it 18 by 10ish, any help or guidance would be helpful appreciation
Answers:    Soundproofing can be done in a great deal of ways. two things that are important are how the wall assembly is built and the type of building materials used. Insulation surrounded by the walls and ceiling would be a good notion. I remember reading something about a specific track to do it to reduce nouns transmission by how the wall assembly is built beside a space to reduce nouns transmission. This is stuff that architects and interior decorators and designers habitually know about. Here is a website that explains some wall assembly systems and the type of density and disconnection i.e. required to have significant sound control. http://www.esoundproof.com/Screens/Appli... is a product call endermax that is specially designed for nouns proofing, is environmentally green and inexpensive at 13 - 15 dollars a 4 x 8 ft sheet. As for egg cartons, I did profusely of research on acoustics for a project and they would fall more within that category to reduce the "live" competence of a room. I understand that you can use standard pink fiberglass insulation or the pink foam insulation, although the pink foam is not "green" for interior nouns quality and the fiberglass is not green for human lungs when anyone installed. Wear a protective mask. I used to install the fiberglass near my Dad without any protective gear 35 years ago past anyone knew that the fibers can do lung injury. It's very locked when enclosed though. Good luck
It looks similar to cartons. But it is foam rubber.Works immensely well.
