Sound Proofing? I'm renting a unit surrounded by a duplex that is highly old...
I'm renting a unit surrounded by a duplex that is highly old so the walls are transparent. The land lord lives subsequent door and the two units are connected by the walls contained by the bedroom and living room. The living room isn't such a big deal but the bedroom... powerfully, you know. The land lord doesn't want us to put any staple or screw holes in the wall and I'm afraid that cartridge will take the paint bad. There are a lot of layer of paint (too manys coats) and it peels confidently. I've heard Egg Crates but I own no idea where on earth to find it in immense quantity and I don't guzzle enough eggs to retrieve up. Any suggestions?
Answers: I suggest you find another place to live..
not to sound rude or anything, but if you're paying rent, I regard as you should atleast be able to put a few nail in the walls to fix the nouns problem, right?
You should ask your landlord to fix it for you?
Good luck near the sound problem!
Sorry, egg crates do NOTHING! I would suggest you generate more noise and consent to him do the soundproofing...then again possibly he'll like that. Seriously though, an extra blanket, or two, of drywall is your cheapest, most effective answer. Offer to split the cost? Maybe by bringing up soundproofing between bedrooms could embarass him into doing something?
