Answers:    If this is your house and you are willing to do the work yourself you might consider installing Z depression and Sheetrock. The Z channel allows the wall to "Float" so it absorb sound. This method is used around illustrious noise areas such as freeways. If you choose to do this it will also involve adding conserve extensions to windows and doors and reinstalling the trim contained by the room.
