So like is in attendance any type of special paint used for doing a good rapid paint job on a guitar? BTW: It's electric, so yeah.
Anyway, yeah any specific model or acrylic paint and polish or what?
Answers: Most Electric guitar bodies come from the factory, with any a Lacquer finish, or one of the new wet based acrylic clear coats (basically, a plastic finish). There is no over the counter paint, that will hold up to the use that a guitar endure while being used. Spray Cans, while human being able to be used to spray the surface of the guitar, will not finishing, will scratch, and will eventually clang off. Sometimes, the process of fine art over the factory finish will cause the unproved finish to "craze", "blister", "orange peel", or purely become sticky, and will not dry properly. My suggestion, is to take it to a music shop beside a luthier, and have it professionally refinished near the proper finishing materials. It may seem that the cost may appear giant to have a professional do the refinishing, but if you do it, and it get screwed up, then the cost of your doing it will increase, if you hold to do it again. If the professional does the project, then, they are responsible for the outcome. Don't try this yourself, unless you own the equipment, place to do the job, and most importantly, the experience to resolve problems that will result contained by a DIY project.
