I'm painting my interior walls and I in recent times want people's opinions, do I paint the walls or the baseboards and door jam first?
Answers:    If you are using the same type of paint and impossible to tell apart finish values, ( flat, satin, semigloss, etc) Then you can paint the trim first and not have to cut contained by the wall area, of late let er rip. ( do not step crazy though) Then when you paint the wall, you only enjoy to cut in once.
If the paints will own different finish values, Which is most common, Paint the walls (usually the flatter or smaller number reflective of the 2)and then the trim.(Almost other a semi gloss or interpret to hide appendage prints better)
If you are using oil base paint for the trim, paint it first and then the latex, as it will wipe sour the oil. Please allow 24 hours for the grease to dry, you can add a dryer close to Japan dry to your oils, they step on smother and dry quicker. usually does not tint the color much, but check to make sure.
I hold been drawing for years and years and I always paint the trim and door jambs first not single is it the most time consuming, and good to find out of the way, but it is much easier to "cut in" on the wall than it is on the baseboard, also if you consent to the trim dry fully you can tape bad the trim with painter tape for a verbs edge. but be sure to walk light on the paint around tape edges so it doesn't pool up. this is important because it will crust the paint right off the wall! hope this help, any questions? be aware of free to ask!
