I have been remodeling my living room. The walls be a mess. After removing the wallpaper and fixing any holes, I'm just about set for painting. However, I have gone some "bad" spaces in the wallboard/drywall that I feel are unnecessary to fix since they will be covered near floorboards. My husband disagrees.
Should I fix the small holes in the drywall at the very bottom, even if they will capture covered with floorboards?
No, it's not necessary to repair the holes if the cove base covers them unless your putting nylon (plastic) cove remains.
I go bad of the tack, "Any job worth doing is worth doing right."
I would fix them, but, I am pretty anal about stuff close to that.
Answers: You could cover them with drywall mud, but evacuate it unsanded and unfinished.
