I am a 13 year old guy. I am currently sleeping on a Serta mattress, which is a big improvement to the futon I be sleeping on. I like the Serta ok, but I sometimes wake up near backpains. Anybody here who has slept on both, do you think a Sealy is a better brand mattress than a Serta? Because my dad is enlarge to buying me any new kind I want.
Thanks
Sam
Answers: It really depends. I used to put on the market mattresses. How heavy are you? If you are 180 pounds or more, or will be in a few years (look at your dad, grandparents, and mom's brothers, etc for this), the Serta is probably a better choice. Larger society tend to prefer the firmer support of the Serta. I prefer the feel of a Sealy myself, but I am a petite woman.
Stay away from pocket coils. They just don't hold up as okay. Also go one step up from "bonnell" coils. They are an old-fashioned type of coil that aren't as honest as the other ones. They cost less, but if dad is willing to retribution more, upgrade to the Serta Perfect Sleeper or the Sealy Posturpedic.
Pillow-top mattresses do not give you any better support than non-pillow-top styles. 2 reasons for that. 1: The layer on top of the springs are for comfort, while the springs themselves provide the support. 2: A pillow top is just a style of sewing the edges of a mattress so that when it have lots of padding it isn't so rounded on the edges.
Final point, make sure you flip and rotate your mattress, especially when you first bring back it. It will last longer that way.nnOtherwise you will wear a hollow contained by one spot.
Dude, have your dad take you to a mattress store and you freshly jump on a bed and lay on it to try it out, you can even leave your shoes on. Brand is irrelevant when it comes to these products. Get what make you feel the best. good luck. I similar to Sealy, it works for me.
