Room redo? ok so im doing my room over , furniture wall color ect....
ok so im doing my room over , furniture wall color ect.
im just not sure what to do with it , i want it colorful and nice looking , im trying to stir for like a black and white look the only problem is my carpet dark purple.
any advise? pics would be nice
You can play down the purple colored flooring by using it as an accent color. You can still do the black and white focus, which is always classy and tasteful. You just use the purple as an elocution color. Throw in just 2 elocution purple pillow, and keep everything else black and white. That way it looks resembling you meant to keep the runner! Hope that helps! add splashes of red and grey purple in accents, resembling cushions, a vase or some knick knacks.

hi..it sounds like a nice area, the black and white, but you come up against with the purple carpet, unless you also hope out purple accessories as well as the black and white, this track you would tie in the colour scheme..
but if you are set only just on the black and white, you may want to think about varying the carpet, if its within your budget..but really you would be surprised, how stunning purple, black and white would jump together..
get a pad and paint the three colours, using everyday watercolours, in lines next to respectively other and see how you feel about it.. put a mood board together, use material swatches or get the match pots, try out different shades of purple..
do not be afraid of colour..inopportunely today, everyone seems to copy the 'changing rooms' look, be yourself and do what YOU want to do..if someone else outside of your home does not like it, report them that you do and they do not live there..do not be afraid to be an individual..
Answers: okay..here go. You can keep your dark purple rug, Get a white comforter, attach color in with a throw blanket and pillows along next to sheets ( make the bed, like within the magazines, every morning) Get a yellow light, paint the walls a lavender color. I think you should play up the purple, that way it will look approaching you did the purple carpet on purpose and tie it contained by very nicely..sort of resembling this. * but add more color*

keep within mind, in the pictures there are only a few colors, you can change it out to whatever colors you want and include more!! =) good luck!!
