i have really plain grey carpet surrounded by my room and i need some ideas to spruce it up a touch, i'm gonna go crazy if i keep looking at it!

If you can't afford to rip it up, consequently buy a great rug to go over the carpet and create interest. Get something to gather round your needs whether it's contemporary or an oriental. It's not going to cover the interior carpet and you don't want it to. Just create a focal point that will detract from the runner and add interest to your room. Be sure to buy an underliner so the rug doesn't buckle or move. Grey, black, and white with pops of a bright color similar to red or lime is an interesting scheme and pretty timeless... You can use throw pillows or a throw rug (which you can put over the wall-to-wall carpet) and even curtains and pictures. Grey is such a neutral color that there's so much you can do! Good luck!
Answers: ok. first of adjectives do not listen to the people above me. area rugs resting on carpets do not work. there is a big rug down. at hand is no need to put a small one on top of it. im guessing that pulling out the runner is not a option cus u didnt metion it. but if it was thats the channel to go. now u could obtain a new carpet surrounded by. renmants are very cheap n affordable n installation is quite jammy. get one u truly love. dont try to get the first entity u see just to get rid of the 1 home. takling ur time n find the right 1. u will thank urself contained by the long run. hope i helped n good luck!
Get an remant hearth rug cut it wall to wall to cover it up. Or buy an area rug. Either way totally unexpensive way.
