Room organize!? anyone got tips for organizing rooms?

anyone got tips for organizing rooms?
Go through everything that you have first and decide what you want to maintain, trash etc and separate it into categories...books, movies, papers, pictures, whatever is contained by the room and then buy organizational shelves, dividers, rubber maid totes, they make really cute organizational things very soon that will match anything...and any color... get the really big plastic boxes and put adjectives ur junk in them consequently hide them in ur closet

- remove what shouldn't be there (trash, dirty clothes, things belonging to other people, things belonging surrounded by other rooms) and make arrangements for them (take to trash can, give backbone to other people, put away in the correct spot, etc)

- buy plastic tubs, shelving, shoe racks, jewelry boxes, hooks, extra laundry picnic basket, etc so that the clutter can get put away neatly

- throw away or donate what you don't necessitate or haven't used in a year, anything that you just can't element with but don't use often should be boxed up and put within an area not often used (attic, top shelf of closet, etc - avoid basements though as they are habitually humid or can get flooded)

- hang up clothes, jacket, bookbags out of side in a closet and put shoes on a hanging or freestanding rack (also preferably surrounded by a closet), buy a magazine rack for books and magazines

- if you are into collectables (figurines, statues, snow globes, shot glasses, etc) buy a shadow box, attractive shelving or a curio cabinet so that your collectables are up and out of the way or hang them on the wall if at all possible

- place a small table, shelf or hook by the door so that people can set their belongings on it when they walk surrounded by (and not drop it on the floor)

- buy a shelf or other organizer for mail so it doesn't get lost surrounded by other clutter

- buy a file cabinet or portable file box and report folders to sort out paperwork (bills, legal/school papers, bank statements, etc), consider buying one with a lock for extra financial guarantee and storing the file cabinets out of site or contained by a closet in case of a break within
