Room Decorating? Well I want to paint song lyrics on my wall, but I...
Well I want to paint song lyrics on my wall, but I don't think that my dad would go for that. So does anyone own a suggestion as to put lyrics in my room but have it still look neat/formal/not sloppy? That's the best opening that I can put it, hah. Like, would it look stupid if I were to write them on canvas consequently hang it up? or write it on a cardboard type of paper next frame it? I'm stuck and I need your help, pretty please. Thanksabunch. =]
Depending on what the song is, I would frame it on a different peice of color thesis that goes with the song. Then i would paint musical record around it or use those tracing things that peel off for the junk mail and the musical notes. I say attain a picture of the lyrics you want, than get them Blown up in a backround ( doesn`t matter what colour) and then frame it in a black frame.. I similar to the idea though :)
i think that's an awesome idea, but you should flog the idea to your dad. my advice is find an awesome font, and return with yourself an overhead projector and use that to trace it onto the wall. if you give your dad a foolproof plan to make it look professional and not homemade next he'll be more likely to let you do it Use cloth paint and paint it on wide solid colored ribbon. Use a solid color ribbon for the lyrics and then edging it with some funky wide ribbon that have a pattern on it.
Once you get several done. attach them to the walls next to sticky velcro dots. If you get tired of them.they can just be removed markedly easily.
This way ...you enjoy the design you want... and your Dad won't get mad.
Answers: What I would do if I be in your situation.. is I would print out the lyrics in a incredibly big and cute font that you would like. Then, print it out onto some thick newspaper. Once all of the lyrics you want are printed onto thick pieces of rag (use as much paper as you need) take a craft blade and carefully cut each word or note out.. Once finished with all of the lyrics.. hold the stencil that was left bringing up the rear (the one that you cut the letter out of) and use painter's tape to video it onto the wall where you would like it to be and paint it contained by.. this might take several weekends, but it will turn out very cute if you give somebody a lift your time and MEASURE everything!
