We are moving to another state and renting. We owned our home so we could paint or whatever. We can't paint and some of the rooms have paneling and hardwood flooring and it seem dark. I have see the home in pictures my husband is there and I will be at hand next week. What tips from other renters have you done to craft a space yours and to make a darker room more brighter. I ask for tips because as I said walls are while or nearby is paneling. Picture hanging is fine.
Answers:    Have you asked the landlord almost permission to paint? Some landlords might be agreeable as long as they approve the color you want to paint first. Best of Luck.
make sure the furniture and pictures you catch are light/bright colors... nothing dark, because it will be aware of even darker. Get a lot of lighting. Try some cool looking lamp, like a funky floor lamp so it ad some visual interest. oh.. area rugs can build the wood floors look and feel more "cozy". try to find a lot of pretty painting to make the walls look better. window curtains (and not purely blinds) might be a good idea. thats adjectives i can really think of to help beside the wood paneling. sry... Mirrors are good for bouncing light around the place; also lots of white appurtenances. When hanging pictures, put them in a larger frame next to white mounting paper between the frame and the picture. I also find that fresh flowers can cheer any place up :)
