I would rather bring out the good looks than replace them, sanding & staining; anything the process consist of. I am sure that the cost and time depends on the square footage....any one do this in your home formerly? Was it worth it was it easy/hard, time worhty? Any info, concept, opinions, etc. it's adjectives welcome.......
Answers: Yes, look into a product call Verathane. You can get this at the Home Depot. Depending on the condition o fthe floors; if they aren't that unpromising, Verathane will work wonders and it usually requires no formal "sanding".
Very much worth every penny. My parents pulled up their carpeting and refinished the wood floor underneath and it's turned out beautiful.
Just hire some reputable company because you don't want some no label contractor messing up a great potential value to your home.
