My kitchen cabinets are painted- they were not sand or primed first and were given 2-3 coats of latex paint. They scratch well, so I am hoping I can also remove the paint easily. How do I go something like removing the paint? What products work the best?

A chemical paint stripper. Wilko's cheap one is excellent.

Or, sand them down with gradually finer sand composition, and repaint again !!
Answers:    Latex huh? Are you going to repaint? Latex is a b***h to sand, and strippers are so darn time consuming. Could you perhaps use a sanding block to bulldoze the truly bad spots, apply oil-base primer, and sand again. Then apply your finish coat in grease. Also, don't use high-gloss. Use a low-sheen paint which will not reflect the defects so blatantly.

If you're not going to repaint but want intuitive cabinets, you truly might be better off to buy tentative. Most people would not paint an expensive wood, so they may be rather usual under the bad paint living.
