I've asked a couple questions about my living room but haven't gotten plentiful answers so I'm posting again. I have settled on a "coastal" theme near blues and whites for my living room. I live in a rented apartment, so walls are white, carpet is taupe. I hold a brown leather sofa, chair, and ottoman, and wooden coffee table and bookshelves in the room. I've added some blue and white pillows, some shell shaped votives, and some framed photos of seaside vacations. I tend to like decor to be exact traditional, but with clean lines and a modern sensibility. Any design for me?

Answers:    It sounds like you have a great start.
I would join a tropical or big leafed plant or two in bamboo baskets.
Maybe some white distressed paraphernalia like a wooden dish filled next to different seashells for your coffee table and small picture frames to set amongst your books on your bookshelf.
Add some soft sheer flowy curtains.
