I recently removed and installed hot 1/4inch plywood in our kitchen floor. We enjoy already purchased enough self-sticking 1foot square vinyl floor tiles to cover the nouns. The question is, is in that any sort of surface preparation to do before we lay them down? I own had folks tell me in the order of filling surrounded by the seams if they are more than 1/4 inch widespread between plywood boards. Also, does the adhesive on the tiles stick to plywood okay? Or should adhesive be applied contained by addition?
Answers: You shouldn't use other adhesive next to self stick tiles, but you might think in the region of using a floor leveling compound to ensure the surface is nice and flat. Any unevenness will stick out close to a sore thumb under those tiles.
Good luck!
If the plywood is rough, it will show thru the floor when installed. I would also use in-expensive self-levelling product.
It is effortless to mix and use.
