Quarter hip bath?? your feelings?? impossible use of space???? i have a smaller house next to no bath rm on the...

i have a smaller house next to no bath rm on the 1st floor &1 on the 2nd, very well its a inconveinence especially to guests-so i was going to attach a half hip bath on 1st fl- problem is theres only a small space that i could slickly sacrafice- and my plan would include a really small sink, i planned on custom making the sink (out of tile and mounting faucet into wall) to fit the spot since there's no average sink that would fit.
Then recently i come across advertisements within my area for homes that have quater baths.
i never heard of these but discovered they are purely toilet rms w/ no sink.
Although i never thought of not adding a sink- immediately that i looked at these really nice houses with a toilet simply rm, im questioning how appealing is it?
i merely want to know peoples opinion-if you looked to purchase a starter style house(1500 sq ft)that only have 1 bathroom upstairs, would it be appealing or appauling to have a small toilet rm on the 1st fl? or will the avg individual see this is a bad use of space?
Answers:    I devise most ppl want a sink to wash their hand after they use the toilet.

However, if it would meet your requirements and you are doing the work your self it could be OK if the cost is not too bad.

In other words , you would not loose money on it when you get rid of or gain money either.

I saw a show beside a really small toilet room like you are planning , but they have a small airline type sink and it looked fine.

I would keep looking for a really small sink or you are going to requirement a hand sanitizer dispenser on the wall at the exceedingly least.
where on earth would you wash your hand after using the toilet? Are you going to spread germs all over the house while walking to the sink to clean up your hands? It sounds resembling a bad thought to me.
