Proper Napkin Folding With Silverware...HELP!? I'm getting ready to host a Thanksgiving dinner, and we enjoy recently...
I'm getting ready to host a Thanksgiving dinner, and we enjoy recently adjectives a set of fine china, so we want to use it, so we've bought napkin rings, but now I'm surrounded by a delimma. :) I want to put the napkins in the napkin rings, in need covering the pretty rose in the center of the plate. If that's the crust, when setting the table where do I put the silverware? Do I put it surrounded by the napkin that's in the napkin ring or do I put it on the table? Please comfort, and if you can find a picture somewhere to help me visualize it that would even be better! Thank You!
Answers: You could fold your napkin into the ring and rest it at the TOP of the plate, next to the service ware in its appropriate spot on any side of the plate.
Alternately you could fan-fold the napkin and have it tufted within the wine goblet, and again set the service ware subsequent to the plate.
Finally, you could abandon the full napkin folding and roll the service ware into the napkin and set it to the right side of the plate.
