Hello

I am having big problems gloss fine art an outside wood door and some window sills outside of my house . The finish resembles a network of fine capilliaries or a crazy swirling paving cut-out . This is the 3 rd time Ive encountered this and I have tried fine art thin coats , thicker coats , have tried a specialist outside red paint ( which be terrible ) . I have also invested contained by expensive bristle brushes to try and remedy the problem --even an epensive one coat white gloss is showing the same problems --I would enjoy said it was just that I am a * painter but Ive redocated several houses in the past inside and out and enjoy never encountered this problem on such a large amount --im now faced next to scraping down my third attempt and re sanding again for another try ---can anyone please give a hand me in where Im going wrong --I am practical the sea in an nouns with constantly changing weather --could this be the problems? THANKS
Sounds like you are trying to use a latex (water based) paint over an oil base paint. Go ahead & scrape & sand & try using an oil base exterior paint on the outside. If you aren't sure, just use it on some trim first. Glossing is a tricksy business. You have to preserve going back to it. Always paint into gloss, and never away from it.

The paint seems close to it's not getting enough time to dry out and moisture is getting under it. Try a apt primer and then painting, departing good amounts of time in between. If that fail, or even before you try that, ask your paint specialist and see what they say. It also make a difference in the type of paint you use too, water versus grease. I am on the coast too and a 37 year experienced painter..You must clean and wash the outside first..you are drawing over salt residue from our salt river..I always wash a house first.Salt nouns is corrosive to many things..and paint will not adhere to a brackish coated product
Answers:    drenched and then heating up too prompt, then more damp up to that time it's cured- not best idea to paint in intermittent downpours and sunny spells! I would (having painted internally and externally) here and overseas, by the deep-sea and inland - think that it is probably more to do with the varying weather and salt in the atmosphere! than your abilities!
