Popcorn ceiling-how do i remove ?

if it hasn't been painted even so then scrape it with a 10 inch drywall spear work well, but dusty...to keep hold of the dust down u can wet the ceiling beside a garden hose.just take it wet ( not soaking wet) .surrounded by the painting paragraph of the hardware store they sell a ceiling scrape tool with a case attachment that catches the objects as u scrap..its not complicated work, just messy.be sure to put down a plastic sheet

You're going to need to build sure that it's no asbestos as it's often located within popcorn ceiling, especially in houses made prior to the 1980s/90s.

If it's not asbestos, it'll be easier but time consuming to shave it bad. If there IS asbestos, it's best to in recent times leave it - if you try to lug it down, you'll have to call for in special experts and involve Hazmat.
Answers:    sand it...polish it...repaint it.

that's about adjectives you have to do...suitable luck buddy

If you carry it wet, most of it will spatter right off within big sheets. A super soaker water gun works great and is fun.

Scrape bad the rest with a widespread putty knife. It will come rotten easy because it's raining.

Be sure you put down a plastic painter tarp, it's really messy.

If you want to take a simple 2-3 hour assignment and turn it into a couple of days of hard labor, try sand it.
You without doubt MUST wet it first. Get a garden sprayer (the charitable used for pesticides/fertilizers) and put warm dampen and 2 capfuls of fabric softener. The cloth softener makes it come past its sell-by date in sheets stuck together. Soak the ceiling (assuming you put plastic down, this get ugly) and wait 5 minutes.
Scrape next to the widest scraper you can find, or try the thing next to the bag attachment (haven't tried that one) they deal in it at Lowes. We used a really wide wallpaper tool.
MAKE SURE YOUR AIRCONDITIONER IS OFF! We found this out the complex way and it sucked and dispersed the dust adjectives over everything in the house. Good luck.
