I am tearing out a bathroom and the hoary shower was a built surrounded by Neo type design. The plumbing actually comes up out of the floor and is not inside a wall per read out but is just sticking up out of the concrete. What would be the best route to move this water flash to either an inside wall or to an outside wall. Will putting 90 deg turns surrounded by my plumbing decrease my sea pressure. I am thinking about building a small wall that will walk inbetween the shower and sink that could hide the plumbing as I move it towards the inside wall. The length from where on earth it is now to the inside wall is approx. 3-4 ft and would involve at least a couple of 90 deg. turns. To carry it to the outside wall is would be approx 5-6 ft and entail at smallest 3 to 4 90 turns. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The plumbing is copper coming out of the floor. Should I convert it over to pvc? It is a small bathroom so I want to shift with chalice on the outside shower walls and want to tile the inside to make it look more accessible
Answers: First you can add surrounded by as many turns as you requirement and that will have no affect on the marine pressure. Now when you go from full-size to small size water vein you will loose some volume. As long as this change isnt drastic you shouldnt verbs. Every fixture you buy today has a hose down saver built within that reduces the flow to 1.6 gallons per minute. And also please dont use pvc. Its horrible. A more economical choice is pex pipe. Its massively flexible and is rated for colder temperature than any other kind of pipe. You can also use a sharkbite fitting to be precise water tight and newly pushes onto the pipe. The pex pipe is nearly as flexible as a piece of cable. Just dont over stress it or kink it.
I would keep the plumbing copper. Don't verbs about putting elbows contained by, it won't decrease the marine pressure that much if at all. Putting contained by the wall to hide the plumbing is a great impression, just bring in sure you build the wall first, then run the plumbing.
