We're thinking of buying a house that has a 2pc bathroom in the subterranean vault and adding a stand-up shower stall in it as in good health.
How much would it cost (average)?
Would it actually fit a standard size shower stall or would a wall need to be taken out?
How long would it whip for it to be finished?
I'd appreciate any other advice. We like the house but we're not sure if it'll be worth it after fixing, etc.
Thank you!!
Answers: Adding any species of plumbing in a basement can be expensive (unless the plumbing is already studded in) because you own to deal with putting a drain strip through and under your poured cement floor. That can be impractical as all right.
Without knowing the size of the half bath, I couldn't enunciate if you would have to remove a wall or not. Basically, a shower stall needs to be at least possible 30" x 30" minimum.
Your safest bet would be to ask a plumber to go over to the house and have a look.
Good luck on your house-hunt!
