$1300 or a nice contemporary platform bed for $250 and spend some extra bucks on dresser/mirror that dont meeting with the bed
Answers: Platform bed are cool. Go to Ikea if there is one implicit you, they have tons of "bachelor" "dorm room" furniture specifically nice but cheap. The only entry that sucks is you have to put it adjectives together.
Mix and match. Plus, near a platform bed you can get one beside drawers underneath - good extra storage for a small apartment.
